Quick & healthy chips for parties, lunchboxes & watching ballgames.  

Baked Tortilla Chips with Lime

Prep Time: 6 minutes
Cooking Time: 8 minutes

 

Ingredients:

8-inch package of white flour tortillas*
Juice of one fresh lime (approximately 1 lime/10 tortillas)
Salt, preferably course

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 400o F.
  2. Brush lime juice on one side of tortilla, sprinkle lightly with salt. Place another tortilla on top and repeat the process. When done, tortillas are stacked in an even pile. With a sharp knife, cut the stack in half, then into quarters, then into eighths.
  3. Arrange triangle pieces on baking sheet, salted side up.
  4. Bake in oven for 6 - 8 minutes or until they are just turning golden brown.
  5. Serve with salsa, dip, or soup.

*Note:

bulletDon’t use non-fat tortillas. 98% fat free work well but for the best flavor and crispiness use the regular tortillas. Nutritional analysis is for regular tortillas.
bulletFor larger chips use a 10-inch tortillas.
